Materials: Take out your name placard, planner, independent reading book, and a writing utensil.

Do Now:
Log in to the tablet on your desk. If you need to finish your claim paragraph from yesterday, do this now. If you have already turned it in, begin reading quietly.

Instructions for Taking the STAR Test:

1. Log in using the "RL" icon on the desktop of your tablet. Your login will be your first initial+last name (ex. kdavis) with a # on the end if it's a common last name of if you have a sibling with the same first initial (ex. kdavis4). If you have trouble logging in, please see me.

2. After you log in, click the button that says "Take a reading test." You will be prompted to enter a "monitor password" before you are allowed to start. The password is "admin".

3. The questions on the test are TIMED, so you need to stay focused. If you tome out of a question because you were talking to a neighbor, your score will go down.

4. When you are done with the test, log off your tablet, set it aside, and begin reading quietly.
